Children and Youth

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

UMYF is an organization of 6th-12th graders that meets Sunday evenings for dinner and fellowship. The youth undertake service projects, go on retreats, share in worship services, and participate in special mission work teams such as Carolina Cross Connection.

Sunday (Church) School

Sunday School is held at 9:45 a.m. weekly and offers learning opportunities for all ages.

New Hope has a Boy Scout troop and a Sea Scout Ship, both of which support character building and service to God, family, church, and country, i.e., the hallmarks of scouting.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is held each summer at New Hope. The children enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, singing, and fun activities for age four (potty-trained) to youth. A light meal is served each day of Bible School.
